now for a short rant...

Nancy Pelosi is a scary, power-hungry woman who talks out of both sides of her mouth every chance she gets. She's supposed to be the Speaker of the House but she's never anything but the Speaker of the Democrats. She repeatedly pushes a Democrat/Socialist agenda to create more social welfare programs to increase peoples' dependence on the federal government- a government that's only solution so far to the economic "crisis" is to print more money, and pretty soon - if people like Pelosi have their way - we will be wiping our butts with all the money they are trying to print.

Thankfully, this tirade prompted at least 10 more House Republicans to vote against the bailout and the bill failed. As the Wall Street Journal put it, "By a vote of 228-205, the House this afternoon rejected a bill aimed at ameliorating the credit crisis. The vote was bipartisan, with Democrats in favor by 140-95 and Republicans against by 133-65."

So 133 prudent Republicans and 95 smart Democrats have saved us, at least for now, from a $700 billion debt. Thanks.
